Dear Members of our Community of Faith,

Our school entered into the 2019 Sydney Royal Flower and Garden Show and received first place in the regional schools category, two years running. We were commended for our sustainability methods including composting, worm farm, organic pest control and our seed raising program. The students from years 3-6 all put a lot of effort into the garden and should be commended for their great work.

Congratulations to the Green Family on the arrival of little baby Elisabeth. We wish her all the best for the future.

We have our first whole school assembly next Friday 7th June. The assembly will take place after the 9.20am Mass. Please feel free to come along.

Monday 10th June is a public holiday due to the Queen’s Birthday. We hope you and your family enjoy this long weekend and we will see students on Tuesday 11th June.

Speaking Competition

On the 23rd May 2019, 13 of our Years 3-6 students participated in the Public Speaking competition organised by the Lions Club. This competition gave our students the opportunity to develop their ability and confidence to speak in public. In delivering their speeches, it was obvious that each student had put in a lot of effort in preparing and rehearsing their speeches. In the end though, the adjudicators had to select 2 outstanding from the Years 3-4 and 2 from the Years 5-6. All other students received a Participation Award and we hope to present them with another opportunity in 2020 to achieve the Outstanding Speaker award.

Years 3-4 Outstanding Speaker Award – Felicity Suttie

Runner up – Bethany Dodd

Years 5-6 Outstanding Speaker Award – Celine Chandrasegaran

Runner up – Ignatius Garratt

Congratulations to all participants
