Week 2 Term 3 2023 Newsletter

Dear parents,

I am continually inspired by the talent of our students. Netball has made a major comeback this year, while the number of SMMC students participating in regional and state sporting carnivals is strong, and our students are more than holding their own against much larger competitor schools. I am most grateful to the coaches and managers for making these initiatives possible.

Drama and Visual Art are mainstays of student achievement. The staging of The Importance of Being Earnest tonight and over the weekend, which features mostly SMMC-connected performers and crew, is a legacy of the work done at school.

In order to support the artistic endeavours of our students, I would like to invite you to a new school event, to be held in the last week of this term. It is called the Festival of the Arts and will showcase student talent across the fields of music, drama, visual art and hospitality.

Saint Mary MacKillop College presents

The festival of the Arts will also feature an exhibition of art works that are sure to inspire pride, awe and wonder.
