Welcome to the final newsletter for 2018. The year has gone so quickly and it is hard to believe we are at the end of another academic year. It was wonderful to celebrate the many achievements of the students and the whole SMMC Community at our first outdoor presentation evening last night. And God blessed us with perfect conditions! Thank you to everyone who came along. A special mention to Mrs Mott for her tireless organisation of this event, to Michael Green for providing the sound system and to all who helped out to make the night a great success.
Next year will see the school looking a lot different with the new classrooms and other buildings in operation. It certainly is exciting times for our school. We will begin next year with a little over 180 students and many new families.
Thank you to the year 5/6 class who baked cupcakes to sell to raise money for Aid to the Church on Wednesday. Thank you to all who helped raise money for Aid to the Church by buying a red ribbon or a cupcake. Due to this support we were able to raise a total of $510. 50 which has been sent off to Aid to the Church in Need.
This term the year 7/8 girls have enjoyed creating some decorative flower pieces in their hobby class. Thank you to Mrs Lorraine Morgan who has come in to teach the girls some wonderful new skills throughout the year.
Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time to come along and help at our P&F Bunnings BBQ last Saturday. We made a healthy profit of approximately $1200 and no one slipped on any onions! A great effort.
A huge thank you to Mr Williams and the SRC for putting on another wonderful breakfast for the whole school on Tuesday. It was a terrific way to finish up the year.
