Dear Members of our Community of Faith,

What welcome sunshine we are experiencing today, although please keep the drought affected areas in your prayers. We have had workers here today measuring out where the new buildings are going, which is very exciting. Fencing will be erected on Monday and footings poured for two of the classrooms and these will be delivered onsite in the week beginning 17th September. The buildings for the front of the school will be delivered at the beginning of the holidays and onsite works will begin. While buildings alone don’t make a great school, we are looking forward to utilising these new learning and administration spaces.

We had a wonderful day at Saint Mary Mackillop College Wagga on Wednesday for the annual MacKillop Cup. We were able to bring the cup home with us which was a great success, but the big winner on the day was the friendships made with their students. As young Catholics growing up in today’s world, we pray they can be a great support for each other in living out their faith. A huge thank you to SMMC Wagga for their excellent hospitality.

The Yr.9-12s enjoyed their day at Falls Creek on Friday the 24th of August. We were blessed with a perfect day and lots of snow, so everyone had a wonderful time. We are looking forward to next year’s trip already!

Next Friday 14th September after Mass as part of the Cup ‘o’ Tea, Mrs Maureen Coyne will be giving a talk for parents titled “Ten Top Ways to Raise Emotionally Intelligent Children”. A terrific opportunity for parents if you can possibly be there.

A reminder for parents looking to enrol their child in Kinder for 2019 to contact the school office and book in an interview and tour. Only a few weeks to go now!

Our Annual Fete is coming up again on the 27th of October. We are starting to collect goods for the brick-a-brac stall and for the Chocolate wheel, so please feel free to bring them in – please no broken items! Thank you to those families who have already returned their Raffle booklets, it is much appreciated. Please ensure the sold raffle tickets and money is returned before collecting a new book to sell.

God Bless, Luke Burton (Principal)
