I read this during this week and wanted to share with you all to highlight the importance of family life and to encourage you all in continuing to fight the good fight in raising our children in virtue, character and faith.

“One could say without exaggeration, that the family is the driving force of the world and of history. Our personality develops in the family, by growing up with our mum and dad, our brothers and sisters, by breathing in the warmth of the home.”  Pope Francis

It has been another eventful week at SMMC and I for one am looking forward to hitting the slopes at Falls Creek tomorrow with the Yr.9-12s. A reminder that they are required at school by 6am, with the bus departing at 6:15am. We will return by 6:30pm. The forecast is for sunshine so it should be a very enjoyable day.

Today the Kinder and 1/2 class enjoyed an excursion to the Lavington Library to enjoy listening to a number of books that have been shortlisted as children’s Book of the Year. The students were also able to see the story book illustration exhibition.
