Dear Members of our Community of Faith,

Well the end of term is nigh! We have completed the ‘Premiership Quarter’ and are now ready to come home with a wet sail in Term 4. Thank you to all the Staff for their tireless efforts in doing the best for the students in their care. It has been so pleasing walking into classes across this term and witnessing the quality learning and teaching happening. Thank you to our students for their efforts and what they bring to our school also. I am regularly blown away by what these students can produce – from artworks to written pieces, to complex mathematical equations!
Congratulations to our Yr.11s who completed their exams last week. This week they are enjoying some extra activities to help them prepare mentally and spiritually for Yr.12, which begins for them next term. Thank you to everyone involved in coordinating this week.
Yr.11 Parent/Teacher Interviews – Week 1, Term 4
Please put Wednesday 12th October in your diary if you have a student who has just completed Yr.11. Teachers will be available to meet with you from 7-8pm on this evening in the SMMC Hall to discuss your children’s progress.
Father/Son Camp
A very exciting trip coming up for us all. A note is attached to please get filled in and back to us ASAP. We need a commitment in order to finalise numbers and assist in the planning process. Looking forward to a great camp.
SMMC Fete
Keep selling those tickets please! Also don’t forget to get your Mystery Bottles in to Mrs Mott as soon as you can. We will be having a special Fete Meeting first week back next term – Thursday 13th October at 7:30pm. Please get along if you are able to. We will also be holding a Working Bee (and BBQ!) on Saturday 15th October and doing a big clean up and getting ready for the big day – many hands make light work! Inside this newsletter is a list of stalls that will be run at the fete. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered their expertise. If anyone would like to add a stall, you need to get in touch THIS WEEK please! We can then get about planning stall locations. We will still need more helpers on the day to help with the stalls already on the list. Many are needed to sell tickets for the wheel, several people will need to man the barbecue and some could just relieve anyone who needs a break. During the holidays you may be able to pot up some plants, look for bric a brac items to send along early next term, make mystery bottles and of course continue selling raffle tickets. Thank you to Mrs Galvin for her hard work in coordinating the Fete – it is a huge task.
Assembly and Adoration
We will be having Assembly tomorrow after Mass to showcase some of our learning. After Recess we will have Adoration from 11:20 – 12:45, finishing with Benediction. You are very welcome to join us at any time to spend some time with the Lord. Confessions will be available during this time and run through lunchtime if needed.

P&F Cake Stall
Thank you to all those wonderful cooks we have in our community. Your generosity in contributing to our Cake Stall is much appreciated. We raised $363 selling cakes and sold $40 worth of Raffle Tickets, which is pretty good for 3 hrs on a Saturday.
Uniforms
Term 4 means Summer Uniform, including hats! Please contact Anastasia Byrnes if you require any uniform items.
Please note that Term 4 will begin on Monday 10th October. We are holding our usual Staff Day at the end of the term rather than the beginning. Have a wonderful break with your families and we look forward to welcoming smiling faces back through the gate to begin the final term for 2016.
God Bless,
Luke Burton
Principal
