Dear Members of our Community of Faith,
Welcome back to the start of Term 3. We hope all families had a wonderful three-week break.
Congratulations to the Clark and Firmager families on the arrival of Benjamin Clark and Noelle Firmager. Wishing them all the best for the future.
We ask that you may keep Miss Tania Maclean in your prayers after the loss of her father this week. The Blood and Price families are also in our prayers, after the loss of Anne Price over the holidays.
We welcome back Mr Kevin Tingle, who will be teaching in the 3/4 classroom on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Mr Paul Griffin will have them on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
We would like to thank Mr Andrew Flores for all the hard work and dedication to the school over the past four and a half years, we wish him all the best.
Welcome to Mrs Rebecca Scriven who is also joining our Administration team.
Parent/Teacher Interviews
A Note regarding Parent teacher interviews was handed out on Tuesday. On Tuesday 30th July between 3.30-6.00pm we will hold our Primary Interviews. Those with children in Years 3/4 will also have the opportunity on Wednesday 31st July between 3.30-5.00pm. Confirmation on your times will be decided by Monday 29th July.
High School interviews will be held on Wednesday 31st July between 5.00-7.00pm. High School children will need to take their interview sheet around to their teachers to book in a time.
No Kinder Interviews at this time due to the absence of Miss Maclean. The interviews will be rescheduled at a later date.
SMMC Feast Day
On the 8th August we celebrate SMMC Feast Day. We will be having a mass at 12.15pm. Students will be allowed to dress up in multicultural dress. Cupcakes will be available for $1 at Recess. At Lunch time there will be Paella for $2.50. Please find attached a flyer with information about our St Mary MacKillop Feast Day Competition. There will be Adoration after 12.15 Mass on Thursday 8th August and continue until 10pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to pray for the needs of our school. The roster will be available from next Monday in the Church foyer.
Enrolments for 2020
We are now starting to take enrolments for next year. Please contact the school to organise an interview and tour.
Working Bee
The working Bee organised for Saturday 27th July has been cancelled, it will now be held on Saturday 3rd August. A lunch will be provided. Any help is much appreciated.
Lids4Kids
Our school is going to be a part of the Lids4Kids. If you have any plastic lids from your milk, water, juice and soft drink bottles, make sure they are clean and bring them into school and place them into the red bin located in the office. These lids will then be sent away and converted into prosthetic hands for kids. For more information go to: https://envision.org.au/envision-hands/
Gala Dinner
Our annual Gala Dinner is coming up on Saturday 10th August. Thank you to all who have made generous donations of goods and services to be auctioned on the night. Any other contributions can be sent along to the school office. Letters to businesses can be collected from the school office.

Absences
Just a reminder to write or email the school if any of your children are away for any reason. We are also asking that any absence notes that were handed out before the holidays to please return these to the school office.
Chosen Rally – Albury

ICAS
At the end of Term 2 ICAS notes were handed out. Please return these as soon as you can. The office has plenty of spare notes if needed.
Upcoming Events
Coming up in Week 5 we have Book Week. The theme this year is “Reading is my Secret Power” there will be a dress up day on Thursday 22nd August. Also in week 5 we have our Year 12 class sitting their Trail Exams.
Our yr 9-12 Students will be heading off to the snow on Friday 30th August. A note will go out shortly with more information.
Our Father and Son camp is on Friday 20th September – Sunday 22nd September. More information will be confirmed at a later date.
